4AIR Advisory Board
To ensure the 4AIR framework meets the highest standards of sustainability, 4AIR has assembled a board of independent advisors to annually review the framework for improvements, advances in aviation sustainability opportunities, and alignment with global standards and goals. This ensures each rating incorporates the best practices from each area of aviation sustainability even as the industry continues to rapidly evolve.
Adam Klauber
As leader of the Rocky Mountain Institute’s sustainable aviation team, Adam Klauber draws on a career-long commitment to developing market-based solutions for sustainability. He is among the foremost experts in carbon offsets, sustainable aviation fuels and innovative financing, and previously held senior positions at ICF International and the US Department of Transportation.
Angela Foster-Rice
Angela Foster-Rice helped lead the development of environmental strategy for United Airlines for more than 15 years, first as in-house counsel focused on environmental issues and then as managing director for Environmental Affairs & Sustainability. She currently is with Everland LLC, bringing together communities and corporations to protect vulnerable forests.
Steve Csonka
With more than three decades of experience in commercial airlines, aircraft and fuels, Steve Csonka is one of the industry’s preeminent experts on sustainable aviation fuels. As executive director of the Commercial Aviation Alternative Fuels Initiative, he leads a public/private consortium working toward the commercialization of alternative fuels for aviation.
